Directed by well-acclaimed filmmaker Shyam Benegal, ‘Well Done Abba’ will unfold this Friday (on 26th March) over 370 screens in 13 countries including India, UAE, US, Canada, South Africa, Hong Kong, Singapore, Indonesia, Mauritius, Sri Lanka, Uganda, Kenya and Ghana.

According to the director, with this film one can look forward to some remarkable performances from Boman Irani, Minissha Lamba, Sammir Dattani, Ila Arun, Sonali Kulkarni, Ravi Kishen and others. He revealed that prior to the shooting the actors didn’t do much rehearsal and they all had been very talented in portraying the characters. Benegal stated that ‘Well Done Abba’ is comedy cum political satire – where common, serious issues are presented in a lighter vein; thus driving home the truth in more effective manner.

The story is about Armaan Ali, a Mumbai based driver, who goes on leave to find a groom for his daughter. On returning to work after 3 months, his boss is on the verge to sack him. To save his job Armaan Ali cooks up a story which starts a series of problems.

The screenplay and dialogues of ‘Well Done Abba’ are penned by Ashok Mishra. Shantanu Moitra has done the music while the lyrics are by Ashok Mishra, Swanand Kirkire and Ila Arun.
